Door supervision

Professional at the door. Controlled behind the scenes.

Door teams should protect your licence and your atmosphere at the same time. Vanguard combines calm, capable personnel with venue-specific briefings, structured reporting and operational oversight.

What good looks like

More than putting licensed staff on a door.

We treat door supervision as an operational service, not a labour-only booking.

01

Licensing-aware

Teams are briefed around venue expectations, entry policy and the operating environment they are protecting.

02

Customer-aware

Professional and approachable communication helps maintain the atmosphere your venue is trying to create.

03

Proactive

Good door supervision identifies emerging issues early and uses calm intervention before problems become incidents.

04

Consistently briefed

Venue SOPs give assigned staff a controlled source of current instructions before deployment.

05

Structured reporting

Incident information is captured in a consistent operational format with controlled venue-facing summaries where appropriate.

06

Visible to management

Authorised venue managers can see upcoming coverage and interact with Vanguard through the secure client portal.

The operating model

A door team that knows what it is there to do.

We agree the operating picture first, then build the staffing and brief around it. That matters when licensing conditions, entry policy, customer profile and venue layout differ from one premises to the next.

Common questions

Door supervision FAQs

Can Vanguard take over from an existing provider?

Yes. We can discuss the current operating model, staffing requirements, venue procedures and transition arrangements before proposing a sensible handover.

Can we request additional staff for a busy night?

Yes. Once onboarded, venue managers can request additional cover through Vanguard Ops, with Vanguard Operations reviewing the request and staffing requirement.

Do venue managers receive incident information?

Where appropriate, Vanguard can publish a controlled venue-facing incident summary while retaining sensitive internal evidence and personal information within the secure operational system.

Do staff see our venue procedures?

Yes. Current published SOPs can be made available to staff assigned to your venue, with acknowledgement built into the deployment workflow.
